Basic Dental Hygiene
Brushing - Brushing twice a day will prevent a host of problems down the line. Brushing removes bacteria in your mouth that can lead to bad breath, tooth decay, and gum disease. Brushing regularly will be the most important thing you can do to avoid painful and costly dental problems.
Flossing - The companion to brushing is flossing. Flossing accomplishes the same thing as brushing, except it does it between your teeth where your brush can't reach. Flossing kills the bacteria that can accumulate between your teeth, which causes swollen, tender, bleeding gums. This condition is known as gingivitis.
